Copenhagen-based AI startup Spaak Technologies has raised €1.5 million in an oversubscribed investment round led by Nordic venture fund node.vc, alongside J12 Ventures and prominent angel investors. The investment marks node.vc's first investment in the Danish market, backing Spaak in a competitive pre-seed stage funding round.

Spaak is part of a new wave of vertical AI startups emerging from the Nordics, aiming to fundamentally transform industries through automation and intelligence. The company’s flagship product, Hamilton, is an AI-powered public affairs assistant designed to help organizations navigate political landscapes more efficiently by streamlining policy tracking, automating content creation, and providing real-time insights into legislative changes.

Spaak has gained rapid traction within just a few months of launching the beta product, despite operating exclusively in Denmark. Among the companies onboarded by Spaak as early adopters are major Danish organizations such as TEKNIQ and Børns Vilkår, further highlighting the strong demand for its platform among top-tier organizations.

“The political landscape is becoming increasingly complex, with organizations struggling to keep up with vast amounts of legislative information and fast-moving debates,” said Spaak co-founder and CEO, Arthur Teglbjærg. “We see a future where AI doesn’t just assist but actively enhances strategic decision-making in public affairs, ensuring that organizations can stay ahead without being overwhelmed by information overload.”

Hamilton leverages AI to automate key tasks in political advisory work, from drafting memos and position papers in an organization’s unique tone of voice to consolidating critical policy updates into actionable insights. By doing so, Spaak aims to redefine how public and private organizations engage with policy and advocacy making the political process more accessible, transparent and efficient.

For node.vc, the investment aligns with its thesis of backing early-stage tech companies that demonstrate strong market potential and the ability to scale internationally. Moreover, it reflects node’s belief in exceptional founders - those with relentless energy, grit, and the ability to inspire conviction early on.

“We believe that AI-driven vertical SaaS solutions will be among the most impactful technology plays in the coming decade,” said Henrik Tellving, Partner at node.vc. “From the start, we were impressed by Spaak’s founding team of young but highly ambitious entrepreneurs with bold plans and a deep understanding of the industry. Their ability to move fast, secure major customers and tackle entrenched inefficiencies in public affairs demonstrates both their vision and execution strength.”

The funding will be used to accelerate product development, expand the engineering and sales teams, and further scale operations beyond Denmark. As AI adoption in public sector and corporate governance continues to rise, Spaak is positioning itself as a category-defining company in the public affairs tech space.
